I’m not a movie critic.
I personally loved this.
Is it perfect? No.
Has Bong Joon-ho done better work? Yes.
But the story kept me interested throughout and there’s plenty of comedy throughout. Robert Pattinson is very likable as Mickey. Mark Ruffalo commits to his role.
Overall, solid film.
Just wow. Once you get into this one, you can’t get out.
As the audience, we’re thrown into the burning fire which just so happens to be the life of Adam Sandler’s character. As we get deeper and deeper into the plot, we’re smothered by the flames as Howard gets deeper and deeper in trouble.
Speaking of Sandler, while I have a very soft spot for a good amount of his comedy work, this is without a doubt the best…
From the opening to closing frame, I was locked in.
A Star Is Born combines my two favorite art forms (filmmaking and music) into one. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga both give fantastic performances (both with acting and singing), as well as Sam Elliot who stole scenes multiple times.
