Everything it needed to be. Campy and troupey, just like D&D. Loved it.
I know I’m biased because I hated the content of this film.
But I wasn’t all that impressed.
There were very few scenes that did anything surprising outside of normal horror tropes, and most moments were shot generically.
There were a few moments that will stick with me—the remote, the golf ball, the king shot— but all told it felt pretty generic and uninspired.

Another fun movie!
Very similar to the original, beat for beat copied some scenes, but to great effect and with purpose. I appreciated all of the fun it poked at itself. Yet again, this movie knew what it was and stayed true to that. And it wasn’t just a carbon copy of the original. It did well at playing to the nostalgia factor while staying separate enough to be original.
