To Live and Die in L.A.

    ★★★★½

It's an L.A. crime film day today, apparently (also watched Heat). Friedkin went so hard with this one and it fuckin rules. I love the 80's L.A. cocaine energy of it all. People getting blasted in the face to a Wang Chung soundtrack is insane. A really fun, propulsive, pulpy, sexy, sleazy good time.

    Watched on Amazon Prime.

    Heat

    ★★★★½

Listen, I realize how much of a movie poser it makes me that I'm 38 years old and have never seen Heat before. I'm ashamed, but I'll own it. The Church

    ★★★★

What if there was a church. Bunch of wild shit goes down in a church and there's a cool ass Philip Glass score (by "score" I mean one or two songs). I'm tired.

Watched at the Colonial theater, Phoenixville.
