Struggling to understand the really polarised views on this one. Can neither readily identify with those critical rave reviews, nor the complete disparagement of a film with some real interest, albeit one that doesn’t add up to a satisfying whole. Maybe watching The Substance the night before diluted any sense of whatthefuckery!

I think the film will go in that category of films that I rate quite highly, but will likely never want to watch again. It made my skin crawl for the entire runtime. I was so uncomfortable throughout, despite having seen a lot of extreme stuff before. That genuinely might top the lot though. If I had convinced my wife to watch this, she would have walked out within 20 minutes, and I would not have blamed her one minute.…
The worst thing I watched on 26th December 2024, and I watched Manchester United lose 2-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers in a pathetic display beforehand.
I certainly felt seen; man neglects wife and child as a result of his burgeoning love of film.
