  Definitely Nolan's most underrated film after Memento. This is a brilliant story that plays on deception and unfolds each act of the film like a magic trick. The pledge, the turn and the prestige. It also subverts the protagonist into the antagonist. Good stuff. I also appreciate it's nonlinear structure.

  It is (relatively) simple and no-frills, but is still smart and ambitious. Unlike his other movies, it doesn't "insist upon itself". His other films always "insist upon themselves"... Like, they…
