After reading and sitting trying to comprehend the true message of the film i believe it’s to reflect how humans perceive love and how it’s subjective to many. As a species we find passion in sharing our lives but to many this is abused as we limit ourselves causing an imbalance that inevitably destroys the relationship.
This by Spike Jonze and Sofia Coppola’s ‘lost in translation’ are call and response films showing how they perceived their own relationship which to me is the most significant but beautiful way film can be used. Representing their sorrow but thankfulness they are grateful for.
