Genius  switch between the ones we can and can not understand as a Western viewer. Unfortunately relevant more than ever as people using animal violence to satiate horrific fetishes have been exposed and many are to be yet.  Furthermore, I can not get over my fascination with the animation style and the need to have each detail perfected and included even if it has no purpose provided into the plot line. I can feel the passion that went into this project.

Few films capture the multitudes of combining motherhood with personhood like this film does! It reminded me that I need to remember my mother stood once where I am and forgive.

The main protagonist was at first repulsed by violence and afraid to explore his sexuality, true nature. He embraced his dark side when he finally hit Dorothy and realised the vitality violence gives him. The film is about passing through a curtain of perversion that reveals man’s sin and one can no longer return to oblivion.

The portrayal of the totalitarian regime in Bulgaria and its gone out of hand idea for creating exemplary citizens of the state was executed fantastically. Moreover, a movie pleasant to the eye with its detailed portrayal of the homes and possessions of the Bulgarian living in this memorable era.
