While I appreciate Korine trying to experiment with new forms after his new found love for Tiktoks and video games, Baby Invasion ends up working against itself too much to be fully successful. Korine can't completely detach himself from the structures of film form/exhibition. Suffers from the Black Mirror Problem. There is no society that exists outside of its own sci-fi conceit. Every character/world building element only reinforces the feminist idea at its core: women's bodies are evaluated harshly and they are forced to do whatever they can to stay looking young and beautiful.
