Timmy really tried to run through the March sisters huh (but for real tho I cried and I feel like Gerwig is always on this but her encapsulation of that 20s angst of creation and what it means to make art whether or not anyone will know or like it, is just profound)

Black Bag 2025
Whoever lit this movie and chose the lenses should be shot and killed but besides that I had a great time. Fun lead duo and a good twist on what seemed like Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Could’ve explored more of the nature of secrecy and loyalty imo but I’m a slut for a final reveal so I left happy

not sure what I’m more mad at: the fact that someone actually wrote and directed this self aggrandizing bleakly unfunny movie about annoying neighbors and awkward theater experiences in NYC and had the presence of mind to realize the protagonists are not good people but still made it anyway and is fully reflected in all manner of the story OR that a jury selected this to be a top 10 narrative competitor for this year’s Tribeca festival and that a room full of NYC film hacks all died laughing at the most basic, overdone, 15 years too late type comedy bits
