What a nightmare! Wow! I watched this on a plane so please let me know if Joaquin and Parker’s bits are uncensored in the non airplane version, I thought it was a stylistic choice at first and then I realized “no, you are on an airplane”

Godzilla Minus One 2023
Just a great time at the cinema, almost aggressively simple in some ways (nerd character is called “Doc”! Young character is called “Kid”!) but that’s just fine by me.
I went in feeling slightly fussy because I like Shin Godzilla a great deal and wanted more of the satire and cynicism that came with that film, but the humanity and sincerity of Godzilla Minus One had me all rolled up cozy and satisfied, snug as a bug in a rug.

I watched this three times over the Halloween period, I’ll probably watch it again in a week or two. Didn’t really like this much the first time I saw it but it’s really stuck with me and become a favourite JC since.
Horror doesn’t tend to blend faith and science stuff that well, but this just has me hooting and hollering to get into quantum physics AND become a Catholic by the end! Donald Pleasence and Victor Wong being the stars is such a treat too, a couple of the most beautifully ugly men you’ve ever seen.
