This remains true, but with Anora, his protagonist gets closer to the sweet life than ever before. That quick rise and dramatic downfall helps the film to surpass his prior works in terms of scope and cinematic significance.

  You can't sell books on the internet, Jeff. They'll kill you.

  There is such a disconnect between the performances on screen and the script's interpretation of events. Every line is delivered with either far too much or zero confidence. Either way, Jeff Bezos is a spineless asshole, and that makes this movie both easy and fun to jeer.

  Obviously, I have watched Mulholland Drive a lot. This time it was in a theater though, so that was cool! The bigger screen didn't do a ton for me, but the sound system definitely packed a wallop. The last scene had me drenched in sweat. Loud, unsettling, and genuinely scary.

  I think Mulholland Drive is one of Lynch's funnier movies. Everyone was laughing at the wrong parts though. They don't love it like I do!!
