  Excellent 70s gangster trash in which someone tries to stab Lee Marvin with a sausage. Funny, depraved, violent and mean as fuck. If this doesn’t get you off meat I don’t know what will.

  Night Train to Munich 1940

  Big fan of The Lady Vanishes so I had to check out that other train movie starring Margaret Lockwood. Many peculiar similarities here, most notably the return of the two cricket-loving chaps. Also there’s the landscape miniatures, as seen in the likewise familiar sweeping opening shot—although this one takes us to Hitler’s mountain cabin, yikes! A plot of hidden identities unfolds and about an hour later we’re finally aboard the titular night train.
