A perfectly blah movie that would have likely done better as a Netflix release. Its graphic violence and moderately whelming plot twist balanced the inadequacies in character development.

Who said nepotism was bad, Jack? Sometimes it’s just boring

Not the opening sequence that you want to watch in a crowded movie theater… with your wife. Otherwise, an amazing view of a strong character valuing her individualism among a world of weak people that just do what they’re told and other strong dictators.

The absurdism of many scenes was a beautiful dichotomy from the recasting reality of its context. The Armenians are played well and accurately and the GOP gopnik was the best character of the movie.

    Subtle excellence…

An unexpected Boston movie that tells a story different to many other Mass sagas. A dead inside protagonist thoroughly disappointed by the litany of clowns he must encounter on the day to day is endemic of Beantown? Check. A sibling with crippling addictions? Check. Mom dropping inopportunely timed homophobic slurs? Check. Complaining about your family with a Dunks cup in your hand? Hattrick. Can’t wait to put on my Bruins Jersey and ask a writer if he thinks he’s Bettah than me! Great movie.

The first movie that I’ve seen that has accurately depicted service and reintegration of Veterans in the modern era. I cannot recommend this film enough to those that have served or want to understand what their loved ones went through and continue to go through.

Like the main character, I joined because of my grandfather’s service and looking up to that 5 foot 6 inch giant. Well, he probably would never have understood modern combat as a World War II…
