I had a lot of fun with this one! Love the leads.  Story is maybe a little thin.  But it’s a horror thriller and it is what I expect.  Does it all hold together perfectly? No, maybe not.

    But who cares?

Thanks to my kids, I went to see this movie with extremely low expectations.  And I don’t know…maybe they saw a different movie.  The movie I saw gave me everything I wanted from a Captain America movie.  It entertained.  It thrilled.  It even tugged at the heartstrings a couple times.

Maybe they were on their phones during most of the movie.  More likely, they went in with some preconceived notion of what it should be, and when it didn’t live up to THAT, they were disappointed.

Me, I thought it was just fine, and was pretty much what I’d hoped for.

I’m docking this movie a half star because it’s only half a movie, but adding it right back in for being the best movie I’ve seen this year.  Beautiful and filled with excitement and tension and just about everything else.

The best and the most impactful of the three series in Disney Plus so far.  Such a lot to unpack as to the impact of these events on the MCU moving forward.  Without getting into spoiler territory, the whole Phase 4 hinges on what happened in this series.  Terrific new characters with Sylvia and Möbius, and our old friend Loki’s character changes, grows, moves forward, whatever you want to call it.  This will likely be the first series I will rewatch at some point.
