Trite, out of touch, dated. These are all words you think you'd need to review a comedy from 1999, BUT THEY'RE ALL WRONG! Mike Judge nails the crushing work/life balance we all seem to still be struggling with 20+ years later. The writing expertly tackles the intricacies of working with others and sprinkles in some fun narrative elements to drive the story to it's high temp conclusion. Great anthology that captures a nostalgic view of the future. The first segment moves with fluid, creative animation and doesn't get hung up on any traditional storytelling elements. Has vibes of Nemo's Adventures in Slumberland mixed with Hausu. We follow a child and their cat as they're whisked away into a circus that seems more labyrinthian as it goes on. The second segment is easily the weakest of the three, the lack of story elements end up hurting the piece…
