In the Lost Lands 2025
I gotta say, I don’t hate this movie. It’s got a layer of the Paul W.S. Anderson juvenile goofiness I was looking for but it’s also just not terrible. Corny and dumb? Sure. But it’s got just the right number of set pieces for its running time and some decent twists and turns to boot. Maybe this is faint praise bolstered by low expectations, but it’s an enjoyable movie.

This is the type of movie I just adore. A little mystery, a little politics, someone trying to whip votes. I could watch that shit all day.
The script is a bit inelegant, with some very blunt dialogue and plot points that are direct and hasty enough to feel contrived, but the whole presentation is just so nice. Beautifully shot, likable cast, captivating location.
It’s not a masterpiece but it’s polished like one and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Doctor Who Am I 2022
All in all, a pretty bad doc. It’s short, decently polished, and has appearances by likable actors, but it’s the least interesting possible version of itself. It half-commits to a few different angles, none of which are particularly compelling to begin with. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone but the most hardcore Doctor Who fans, and I wouldn’t recommend it to them either.
