  Robert Pattinson is great, but overall the movie was disappointing. It didn’t delve into the philosophy of life and death quite as much as the book. A lot of weird stuff was added to make it more “quirky”, and I really don’t think the story needed it. Maybe I shouldn’t have read the book beforehand. What was with the sauce thing though? Was that supposed to be a metaphor that went over my head or just an added quirkyness?

  I’m glad they took their time and made it as book accurate as possible, but I can’t help comparing it to how fun and light the 2020 Emma is. It’s an excellent adaptation, but I can’t help my prejudices.

  Someone tell me why the theater was so silent? I appreciate the lack of singing from the audience, but Ariana Grande was hilarious as Glinda and there was hardly any laughter. Are people just too stupid to appreciate a good joke unless it’s over the top obvious? My disappointment lay solely with the audience, the movie was wonderful.
