I bad-mouth religion every chance I get so it feels like this movie was made for me. Some of the editing choices were weird in the beginning but I imagine a rewatch will probably clear that up. Beyond that I really loved Chloe East's performance; she was the only one of the three mains I was unfamiliar with and she absolutely sold it.

Got to rewatch this with friends who have never seen it before. A real treat to see non-horror viewers absolutely love the quintessential genre flick.

This is probably the best Terminator movie since Judgement Day.

The whole thing was "fine," but let it also be study on why movie trailers need to be severely limited in their marketing. Jack Quaid's slide from emotionally inept to sadistic felt contrived, but it's not like the movie gave the cast much to work with anyway. Lukas Gage was the actual standout. The physical setting was so boring and invisible you could have set this on a stage and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Stop making movies look like a fucking Apple Store and have some fun with the damn thing.

I told myself I wasn't going to see this twice. But I did (it was free, again), and I did my best to have the mentality of a "Star Wars fan" (or maybe the fan I used to be when I was younger). I must not possess that mentality anymore because this film was only marginally better the second time. While I did my best to ignore the story points I initially hated, this movie still had enough bad fan-service…
