Just finished this series and honest to God I can see how and why it has accumulated so many awards.
An amazing adaptation of the first book in the Asian Saga and ig (sort-of) recreation of the TV miniseries from the 70s of the same name.

Before watching this I didn’t know too much about or had listened to too much of Bob Dylan’s music as idk the small amount I had I didn’t feel really “clicked” with me. However I feel now I may have to listen to a little more as the music in the film was amazing.

THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTELY INSANE MOVIE. IT WAS AMAZING.
The movie is pretty much entirely based upon the Tibetan Book Of The Dead, called Bardo Thodol. Which is explained to you first at the beginning of the movie by Oscar's friend Alex, then we are shown this entire process as Oscar dies and is reincarnated. We see every single bit of Oscar's troubled/traumatised life and how he manages to deal with it.

DON'T EVER WATCH THIS MOVIE, IT'S ONE OF THE BIGGEST PIECES OF SHIT IN CINEMA HISTORY.
IF I FOUND THE ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS MOVIE I WOULD FUCKNG BURN IT, IT'S ABSOLUTELY FUCKING TERRIBLE.
IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A PREQUEL TO MY FAVOURITE HORROR MOVIE THE THING 1982 BUT IT MAKES ALMOST NO CORRELATION TO IT.
