Confused… def not a feminist film (which is what ppl are claiming). Perverted. Ending was baffling. I think i was tricked by emma stone’s charm and the beauty of the film. Not sure what to rate it

Emotionally difficult to watch at times.
Interesting exploration of the societal divisions in iran through the dynamics in a family. Emotional and frustrating to watch how the moms deep faith, as well as brainwashing or deep self deception, and her desire to protect her family and her choices, goes into her ignoring obvious truths and the brutality around her, and justifying her husband’s complicity/active role in it all. Also how the daughters change as they recognize the false narrative told…
