A bit overacted and underwritten, but the series is surprisingly honest and unforgiving in how it portrays the peculiarities of upper class life in Hong Kong and all the trappings that go with it. I found this part of the story much more compelling than the actual plot line to be honest, which felt a little uninspired and only really served as a way into the main characters’ lives.
