This film wants to be Taxi Driver so bad, and it isn't. It's violence, misogyny, and racism is certainly meant to make the viewer uncomfortable, question why they're seeing what they're seeing, question why they enjoy the film regardless of these factors or maybe even because of it. The problem is simply that instead of being made by a director and writer who have some level of empathy towards others, it's made by a serial rapist, and frankly, you can…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Wow, what a film. I've wanted to see this for a long time and knew I would like it, but it really hooked me. Spotlight 2015
What a perfect film. One of the things that this film is so good at that so few dramas are is the way it shows how people convince others to turn a blind eye to atrocity. A Year of Short Films Challenge 2025 (1/365)
That was incredible.
Amazing animation, amazing cutouts, but the thing I loved the most was the quality of the voices. They felt very like casual and raw almost, it felt like I was sitting on the floor and listening to an elder standing in front of me tell me the story in their chair in front of the fireplace. I adore folktales and I adore animal stories and I adore small animation like this and I cannot recommend this enough.
