This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Scoring this film is kind of impossible because it's simultaneously an incredibly enjoyable send up of one of my all time favourite characters in Shadow the Hedgehog, and a Bad Movie.
And the real problem is that the bad stuff wasn't even like, entertainingly bad? I love me some good shlock but there was so much about Jim Carrey's Eggman(s) that I just really could not get into.
Ultimately I care more about enjoying things I like than being annoyed…

Hands down the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. I wish I could rank this film 0 stars. Even aside from Woody Allen being a complete monster outside of this, the uncritical absolute glorification of nostalgia and yearning for an older time is the kind of stuff that you'd cringe at a 13 year old doing in the Youtube comments for 80s music, never mind a "serious filmmaker."
