When you are reading this review in year 2025, don't be shocked that I predicted the remake of Paycheck hitting theaters on 2/02/2025. Tom Holland and Keanu Reeves as Michael, and Zendaya as Rachel. You might say "that's a problematic age gap" or "why are there two actors for one role?". To clarify, there are no actual actors in the film, AI generated all of it, very much like in Simone (2002). Michael is actually a mushed together version of…

I had many moments of epiphanies during this movie.

The one that hit the hardest was when Waymond said to Evelyn something along the lines of "In another life I would have liked to do laundry and taxes with you".

And I was like dayumm, that's what Josh and I've been doing!

Love it when laundry is romanticized (J. Cole did it first), but I am shocked when they successfully romanticized taxes.

Pretty sure they planned the release date close to tax season so that line hits home.

    Amazing movie!! 20/10

This movie reignited my hatred for the endless atrocities done to my motherland.

As a Vietnamese, it's thoroughly fucked up that I have to scream "Landmines! Landmines! Landmines!" every few seconds as I watch people walk through present day Vietnam.

    Fuck landmines.
    Fuck wars.
Fuck the assholes that think war is the way.

    Mel is a cutie.

Josh's strangest movie choice yet, especially since he's been dying to watch a good movie. Movie was put on without my consent while I was editing photos. Didn't even know what the the name of the movie until I opened letterbox.

Thought I was safe from post-horror-movie imaginations since I don't have a twin inside my head, but Josh accidentally scared me into a uncontrollable laughing fit and I was thoroughly spooked. Nearly had to sleep with the light on…
