Dìdi (弟弟) 2024
got to see this in fremont (aka sean wang's hometown) (love seeing bay area representation on the screen!) and i cried twice during the film because there were moments when everything hit really close to home. definitely a film to cherish for a long time.
also my friend and i did a double-feature with this and twisters today, and after twisters, we bumped into jayden chiang (who plays max) and said hi (it was such a surreal moment)! that was really cool

what a beautiful and touching holiday film. how we help each other through loneliness and grief, finding ourselves through it all. and the shaky, deep breath i just let out from that emotional ending…whew. definitely looking forward to rewatching this for future holiday seasons to come.
