  My Own Private Idaho 1991

  Absolutely beautiful. Gus Van Sant has become one of my favorite filmmakers of the 90s and this is one of my favorite films of his so far. Not what I expected but this was a genuinely moving film that is tragic but also surprisingly quite humorous. Extremely human film that I feel will stay with me for a long time. Phoenix and Reeves both give incredible performances as well and the cinematography is great. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to dive into more of Van Sant’s filmography.

  Showed my homie this one and drank some Guinness and genuinely had a good time. Didn’t hit as hard as it did the first time I saw it but still a genuinely cool movie. I love how Zahler’s style has evolved over the years and I’m super excited to see what he does next.

  Not every day that I see a film I would consider life changing. It may be too early to tell but I can definitely feel like this has changed my life. Right up my alley. The unique blend of cultures work surprisingly well. Very chill but also extremely badass and surprisingly funny. Tearjerker ending and this film kinda made me think about a lot tbh. First Jarmucsh movie I’ve seen but this definitely won’t be the last. A film I’ll never forget. Highly recommend!
