    First time watching this as an adult.

    The nostalga carries this one hard. But even so wtf were they thinking with JarJar. I remember thinking he was hilarious as a child but he's painful to tolerate rewatching now.

    The whole series of events being set off by a vague trade war seems a lot more plausible now.

    I'm sure this hit hard in 1957, and I respect any movie that boldly asks the hard questions without answers, but I'm not sure it's good filmmaking to have your characters just strait up talking out the themes of your movie the whole time.

    This has so many deep and interesting lines of dialogue but as a film ultimately felt more like a rickety frame thrown up around some interesting philosophical conversations rather than a fully fleshed out movie.

His young cleanshaven face looks so out of place at first then you realize it's not a normal western and that maybe your dreaming and then you don't really know what's going on and that maybe it wasn't such a bad casting decision like you originally thought.
