    It baffles me every time I watch a new Shyamalan movie at how inconsistent he can be. He has legit great films and then he makes things like Trap. The dialogue feels like it was written by child. It’s a frustrating watch.

Fennell's writing is so strong at capturing perception vs reality and I loved that aspect probably more than anything else about this film.     December Discord Scavenger Hunt - 12/31 - Watch a movie about children or a child

    Paul Greengrass has put aside his shaky cam and allows the viewer to take in the beautiful cinematography of Dariusz Wolski in his latest collaboration with Tom Hanks. Hanks is by far the star of the film but Helena Zengel steals the show whenever she is on screen. The film has a very deliberate pace and even though it moves slowly I was never bored by it. It tells a compelling story and it tells it well.
