  "Visions are worth fighting for”

  i really enjoy movies that celebrate the work of filmmakers so this was right up my alley. just found this really inspiring as someone who also has the difficult dream of making movies.

  i just couldn’t get into this. i really respect the ambition and the visual aspects were really great but it just didn’t really connect with me thematically. it just felt really unfocused and kinda dragged for me. i’m always in favor of filmmakers taking big swings though, even if this didn’t really work for me. i hope ari aster’s relationship with his mother has improved since this came out.

  I’m speechless. This really has reiterates everything I have felt about being a Black Man in America. The editing of footage of from the civil rights movement and today shows how little has changed in this country. If anything this only furthered my desire for black liberation. We have to tear down this system to make it right and I truly believe that’s the only way true change will come. We have to keep protesting and organizing until they hear…
