Obviously, I’m see this three years late - largely due to the criticism of “it goes nowhere - it’s slow and drawn out.”
I couldn’t disagree more. This is a masterpiece. The sense of foreboding doom approaching House Atreides as they depart for Arrakis and the score from Hans Zimmer are a perfect blend of suspense and dread.

Easy 4/5. Considered 5/5 but it’s such mainstream movie I wasn’t sure that I wasn’t being influenced by outside noise. The pacing is great and keeps you roped into the story for the duration. This is obviously a film where younger and older viewers come away with two distinct messages.
