  This is a pretty soft 4-star but I enjoyed the film quite a bit. Nothing felt like it really stood out but there were few things I disliked. Some good humor, a cool story, and a fun cast.

  I watched this purely for my love for Aaron Taylor Johnson. But mannnnnn was the writing and character development sooooooo bad. It was honestly hard me to follow the story because of the holes in character development. Some awesome action and I could grate my face on ATJ's abs, but not near enough good to drown out the bad.

  I’m not sure if I was just in an emotional mood or not when I watched this but I’m pretty sure my eyes watered six times watching this film. Will Smith’s acting in this film was obviously phenomenal, as he has been nominated for a best actor Oscar, but I was very impressed with the acting of the two girls.   Sometimes, you think you're prepared for the heartbreak when you just aren't... Tbh, this film got a little too slow for me around the 90 minute mark but then it ended on a great note. I'm sad, I'm inspired, I'm scared. Any film that can trigger emotions like that and leave you thinking is worthy of great recognition. Every nomination is deserved.
