    Had to suffer through Smurfs (2025), Minecraft, and "AI-Lookalike-Slopfest" Snow White (2025) previews to see the first major western theatrical 2D animated film since probably Winnie the Poo (2011).

    Warner Bros continues to blow me away with this having zero marketing, the smallest auditorium at my theater on debut weekend! It's almost like they want it to fail.

    I was expecting this to learn from what worked in Sonic Movie 2 and blow me away, and see it twice this weekend. But instead I'm typing this and honestly feel apprehensive about recommending it to others. It's not offensive, just mid. And perhaps that missed potential is all the more bitter than an outright flop?
