A Ghost Story 2017
I wanted to love this so badly. When I first watched the trailer at the theater years ago I remember being genuinely excited partly because I believed it was going to revisit and or build upon the couple’s relationship posthumously. The film was nothing like this in my opinion. Honestly, the 10 minute depressing pie eating scene had me nearly check out, oh my god. The only reason it is not a 1 is because the cinematography is super pretty.

I think this is a decent look into the initial stages of Bob Dylan’s career for anyone that is not too familiar with him. Not the biggest fan of how they portray Bob to be this sort of angsty contrarian at times (cue any intimate moment with Joan and Sylvie, the refusal to duo certain tracks with Joan, etc) . Had they not, I think the showcasing of his transition from folk to electric would have been a lot clearer…
