Huh. For sure provocative, for better or for worse. Lars really approaches the human psyche not from the perspective of a clinician, but rather from the intimate, internal world of the creative sufferer (I think this is the way to do it, sorry Aronofsky). I can imagine Freud would glean more from this as a case study of Lars rather than Joe, Seligman, or Jerome. Hard one to rate, very interesting—don’t know if I could watch again (also it’s 4 hours).
