Whilst I enjoy Wes Anderson’s films, I do feel like the excitement of his style is slowly dissolving with every new release. Whilst the visuals were incredible and production design was clearly realised with intense care and passion; ultimately, apart from a few chuckles and fleeting moments of curiosity I left feeling pretty emotionally bored by the actual story content of the film. I found it quite hard to follow throughout, with emphasis on quirky and witty lines/scenes taking priority…
A few moments of brilliance (particularly from Olivia Coleman) but ultimately just slithers of tender meat in an otherwise very watery, bland stew.

One of my favourite films of recent. The cinematography was absolutely incredible and the soundtrack was beautiful. I think the single take worked so well and the pacing of each scene was spot on. Not a perfect film but definitely an exciting journey and a real experience
