A man struggling to find his place in a world that has passed him by, while failing to reconcile with the life he missed along the way. The shot of him looking back to the curtain just to see that Pam has left, and coming to terms with the reality that there's nothing left for him in life except to go out doing the only thing he was ever good at might be one of the most heartbreaking scenes ever put to film.

I definitely prefer the more streamlined narrative of the first, but this is still a worthy sequel (outside of the Xbox 360 graphics monkeys). If you desire a larger scale story and larger scale action, this will scratch your itch.
Denzel is the MVP performance, to the surprise of no one.
