This was a strange one. At the end of the day this just felt like one of those movies we watched in the 90s at school that said we could do anything we put our minds too. It felt a bit preachy. This was also the wildest visualization of autism I've ever seen, definitely not flattering. The premise was neat, the pieces were cool, but the want they all fit together was incredibly strange.

The Alto Knights 2025
I thought this was a pretty serviceable mob movie. It was a slow burn but it had good tension and kept me engaged. My biggest concern was Robert De Niro playing 2 characters but honestly after like 15 minutes I stopped noticing so I think it was done well but was still ultimately kind of silly.
Fucking Mormons.

Do the Right Thing 1989
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The more things change the more they stay the same. This is one of those movies where the setting is its own character. I could feel the heat on the pavement and the agitation of the characters. There was a big cast here that I enjoyed learning more about over time. I was hoping for a big happy ending where everyone learned but unfortunately that’s not real life. Some of the acting seemed phoned in at times which was really the only technical fault I had with this movie.

Gladiator II 2024
This is everything I wanted it to be. Is it perfect? Nope. But I loved every second of it. The action was great, the set pieces were fantastic, and the setting was beautiful. My only main gripe is some poor CGI in places and the forced connection to the first. It didn’t seem super necessary but I’m not totally upset about it. Shout out to the emperors and Denzel for making me hate them.
