  I love it when movies kill off characters who, by all conventional story logic, should be safe from serious harm – either because they're likable (we want them to win! to persevere against the monster!) or part of a typically spared population (kids, the elderly, etc)

  
  the special effects are phenomenal, a true labor of love. all in all a really fun time
