I don't care how deranged Mel Gibson is, he will always be my GOAT!
Clearly going for kid's 80's adventure vibe, (guy from Sandlot shows up and all of my gen-x aunts and uncles who I was watching this with flipped their shit lol), but it never quite hits the magic that something like The Goonies has.

Still enjoy this as a classic underdog story with a Slim Shady paint job, but the script really could've used some work. It's clearly "The Eminem Movie" which makes the peripheral characters feel shallow, but the film assumes you know everything about Eminem already. If you aren't already a big Eminem fan I dont know what you're supposed to connect with.
Regardless, this is a time capsule flick that I'll still revisit every now and then.Translated from by
