  Ya know…..I kinda like that they did something different.   Is it still super weird to take this direction in a “Halloween” movie? Yes. But at least they tried. I didn’t hate it though.

  I went into this movie expecting the usual “revenge” trope similar to John Wick.  The first act makes you think this is the case. Thankfully that changes on its head once the larger themes of the film are realized. 

  Instead, I witnessed Nicolas Cage in an excellent  acting performance as this character study dives into deep dialog on addressing grief, relationships, and of course food.

  It really makes me want to think back on what aspects in life truly bring myself meaning and happiness.

  Uncharted 2022

  I am too far removed from the games so I am reviewing just as a self contained movie. It was A fun way to spend two hours. However, I have seen this movie done countless times before already, and also done better in those films.
