truely insane movie to watch at 10am

my problem with this is my problem with every David Lynch thing: POC are only cast in the background as either violent or sex objects. center stage is effectively whites only and basically just blondes at that. protags would literally call me slurs and that is demonstrated outright when the "fags" (deservedly) beat up sailor.

really really really great! best new movie I've seen in a while. visually GORGEOUS, great acting from everyone especially the kids, complex plot threads woven together beautifully, love love love dreamy art about diasporic experience, full of love and humor and pain with deep roots all mixed together.
plus Pirouz Nemati is soooooo handsome
