  There’s a lot that could be said about the brand of corporate feminism that was conveyed but this movie was so campy and fun that I don’t feel like I need to tbh (maybe this is exactly what Mattel wanted)

  Past Lives reminded me so much of In the Mood for Love. Two people with incredibly chemistry flirting on the edge of forever. It really made me think about how much of our lives we spend entertaining possibilities and whether or not you’re actually ready for the right person. I think Na Young and Hae Sung ultimately wouldn’t work out due to their distinct differences esp after she left Korea but the tension was so apparent. I just wanted them to work so bad 🫠 Setting this narrative in the backdrop of NYC’s romance with extras literally making out really didn’t help
