Clearly Isaac Mizrahi is the witty, bantering, show-tunes humming gay friend we all want desperately to spend lazy Sunday afternoons with. This documentary is incredibly entertaining, not too self-important or long-winded, and provides an interesting glimpse into the process of a fashion designer as well as the inner workings of industry events. Loved it.
Well, that was weird. I think there were some great parenting tips in there for me though. Also I think most movies could benefit from more mass consumption of shellfish.
I love morbid kid flicks, so obviously this is right down my alley. I think it dragged a bit in the middle and got way too slapsticky for me personally, but the characters are great and the message is incredibly poignant. The concept of building up walls and shutting yourself off to discourse and forgiveness is not something I think a lot of kids have discussion about.

I always love redemption stories anyway, and with the added McCarthyism-related history packed into this movie it was right down my alley. I feel like they could have had more fun with wardrobes, but that's made up for by the amazing sets. All of the interiors of buildings were impressively and appropriately decked out -- particularly the head usher's little apartment.
