  Heaven Knows What 2014

  Man, I can't stop thinking about this movie. It's mostly a series of vignettes with the through lines of Harley's addiction to Ilya and heroin. The acting is pretty much uniformly great and everything feels so true. The world feels lived in and we learn how it works as we go. Spangeing and wake-ups aren't explained to us; the context tells us everything. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Arielle Holmes and Buddy Duress.

  It moved more slowly than I had expected it to, but not in a bad way. Some of the character interactions felt a bit off, like I couldn't completely buy in to the way they were acting. It was fun seeing Noomi Rapace and Tom Hardy raising Rocco.
