  Been watching dad movies a lot lately. Watched this one, very dad-core.

  Also, in general, pretty good. Though, much like Affleck himself, it's not always as clever as it thinks it is. Sometimes comes off as smarmy and too quippy.

  Good movie marred by terrible decisions.
  Weird and choppy slow mo is used all the time to confusing effect. Digital zooms are also used frequently, looking absolutely terrible every time.
  Orlando Bloom is too good looking for the role. He also isn't too good in the role, which is a problem when he's surrounded by such a stacked cast.

  Leatherface retired. He got out. He did an impossible job. Then some no good gentri-fucks kill his mom.

  He goes full John Wick. He tears a wall down to get to his old chainsaw. He does kung-fu. He chops bullets in half with his japanese steel.

  Im thinking he's back.
