Muuuuuuch better than I expected, the only thing I am not a fan of is the studio forcing the over explaining at the end of the movie. I know that Hitchcock would agree with me. The cinematography was incredible throughout the film, slowly demonizing Bates. The shots from above the staircase in that one scene make sense by the end of the movie in a giant climax that is worth the watch.

Idc what yall say, this is a horror movie. From the very beginning you feel a sense of dread, most likely from the incredible storytelling abilities from cinematographer Jarin Blaschke. One shot that really struck me was the recreation of the Hypnosis painting by Schneider. A pretty crazy reference.
