  "You've made a career out of bodies."

  It is absolutely incredible that David Cronenberg has been an artist ahead of time for over forty years. While our society is catching up with the frightening ideas and concepts presented in Videodrome (1983), Cronenberg is already looking to the future and dissecting today's ultra-digital era of late capitalism. Monetized graveyards, information that can't be trusted, the merging of dreams with reality, sex drive stimulated by conspiracy theories, AI counterparts and cyber-technological wars…

  "Our entire life is a punishment."

  Big sci-fi flick that's romantic, horny, sick, political and has a lot of really evil and scary sci-fi ideas and concepts? Finally. I honestly completely don't understand why anyone sees this as a departure from the style or qualities of Bong Joon-ho's other work. His signature is in every second of it.

  "We are just the guys trying to get home!"

  I can't fakin believe that this actually exists. Every minute of it is unreal. The Ferrara-esque visualisation of the city with all its inner problems, but thru the eyes of one of the most insane action film ever, so there is no time to dig deeper. You just have to feel it. Jake Gyllenhaal went Cage mode. Michael´s Bay penultimate masterpiece.

  "I'm not like this."

  Classic hollywood cinema in the new millennium at its finest. Thrilling character driven drama with top-notch performances. Dark twisted moral tale. Cinemas should be packed, but sadly nobody cares about big non-disney movies anymore. Really sad.
