Ride Along 2014
Ride Along attempts to bring laughs through the classic buddy cop formula, but it often feels more like a 2014 YouTube vlog of wannabe tough guys rather than a fully realized movie. The humor is hit-or-miss, with some decent jokes sprinkled throughout, but much of it leans on predictable gags and forced comedy.
If you decide to give it a shot, expect a straightforward, logic-defying plot that relies heavily on Kevin Hart’s signature style, something that, personally, has never been my cup of tea.
