Really fresh story, but overall, it just didn’t do the best job for me. I wasn’t really attached to the characters because of how unbalanced their development felt. It’s like they wanted to do a lot with them but didn’t quite land it. The story had a lot more potential if they didn’t aim for an ambition that didn’t really work with what they were showing.

This is undoubtedly one of the best pieces of media I’ve seen. I would probably keep rewatching it as long as I live. The story is about time, but it narrates everything so beautifully through the action and fantasy genres. They got so many things right, that a lot of other media fail to accomplish. I didn’t expect to find myself hoping the story of an autistic character wouldn’t end, but I did. The perfect pacing gave me chills, especially as someone who loves both adventure and slice-of-life genres.

Great example of how a horror movie can be an emotional rollercoaster if it’s well written.
