  The more movies I see of Bong Joon Ho, the more I feel like I don’t appreciate his films as much as I should be. There are highlights in his filmography, even for me. (Parasite, Memories of a Murder) but I usually end up not liking his touch that much. Mickey 17 was a fine movie, but a huge disappointment to me.

My understanding of the world and my role in it were etched from this influence, leaving me to benefit from it's structures, even now.   Avatar: The Way of Water 2022

  As expected a stunning display of cgi and even more so the true champion of imax cinema. The story does some things better, but still fails more than it succeeds due to weak dialogues and shallow characters (not all of them this time around though), re-cycling of too many things -even the bad things - from the first movie. It’s definitely a good time with the fam though.
